As you know, Valhallas Silver crafts our jewellery in the North of Ireland, taking inspiration from our Viking heritage. Living in Ireland allows us to immerse ourselves in Celtic side of history. We've been fortunate to recently attend and return from the Púca Festival in Athboy, Ireland — a vibrant celebration that breathes life into Halloweens Irish origins.
The Púca Festival, celebrated in Athboy, Ireland, is more than just a modern festival. It's an exploration into the ancient traditions of Samhain. Samhain, a festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter, has been observed in Ireland for centuries. It's a time when, as legend has it, the veil between our world and the spirit world is thinnest, allowing for mystical encounters and storytelling. This festival brings these traditions to life, interweaving them with modren celebrations, much like how we at Valhallas Silver meld ancient Viking craftsmanship with modern design in our jewellery.
This festival, a blend of ancient tradition and contemporary culture, was the perfect setting for showcasing our handcrafted Viking-inspired jewellery. Amidst the folklore and festivities, we shared stories and marvelled at the high skill level of artisans from all corners. A special shout-out to @deise_medieval for bringing us all together in such a spirited gathering.
Despite the whims of Irish weather, with its rain and cold, the energy of the festival was undiminished. It's this resilient spirit, reminiscent of our Viking ancestors, that inspires our craft. In fact this collection of silver captures this essence perfectly, blending traditional artistry with modern elegance.
Thanks a million for the photos @murilo_papini and thanks for the chat. Hope to see you next year.
As we look back, we're grateful for the connections made and stories shared. The Púca Festival was more than just a marketplace; it was a grand tapestry of history, culture, and community, reflecting the values we hold dear at Valhalla Silver.
Thank you to all who joined us under the mystical Irish skies. If you couldn't make it, we invite you to explore our collection, have a look at what is currently best selling online where each piece tells a story steeped in history and crafted with passion.
Until we meet again, keep the Viking spirit alive and cherish the magic of our shared heritage.

Inspired by your ancestors.
At Valhallas Silver, we're always inspired by the rich tapestry of history and storytelling. A recent project gave us the opportunity to pay homage to the film 'The Northman,' a cinematic piece that echoes our Viking heritage.
We decided to replicate an Arabic coin necklace similar to the one featured in the movie. This intricate process involved sculpting and casting in silver, resulting in a piece that captures the spirt of the original design while being a unique creation of Valhallas Silver.
This project was not just about replicating an item from the film but was a celebration of artistry and the blending of cultures - themes that are central to both the movie and our work at Valhallas Silver.
