Flekstad Thors Hammer Necklace in Bronze

Thors Protection

The original of this Thor's hammer was found in Flekstad, Norway in 2014. It is one of only fourteen Thor's hammers to be found in Norway to date. The original was silver.

Handmade by myself in Valhallas Silver workshop using the lost wax process, the same process used during the Viking age.

 This Mjolnir is cast in bronze:

• 34 mm high
• 24 mm wide.
• around 6 grams.

Also available in sterling silver.

Thor's famous hammer, Mjolnir was forged by the dwarves Sindri and Brokkr in order to win in a bet with Loki. A mishap during the forging process meant the hammer had a short handle but Thor still sees it as the greatest gift.

Today it is worn as  a symbol of devotion to Thor or to invoke His protection.
