Protection from a hail of arrows or decoration in your home

Our Viking shields are made from 12 mm birch ply.

They are covered front and back with a layer of linen fabric before being painted with traditional designs and using colours which were readily available during the Viking age.

They all have wooden handles with leather grips and are constructed with hand forged nails. We use heavy 2 mm thick steel shield bosses.

The edge of the shields are covered with a thin leather which is fixed with iron tacks.  We also fit a carrying strap with a bronze cast buckle to all our viking shields.
